I have the same problem. What server settings do you have? Do you use redirect after form sent?

I do not know any more than that. My customer called and said the contact form wasn’t working. I tried it and the little circle kept on spinning. I determined it started happening after a recent update. Used a rollback
Plugin to revert back to the previous version and it worked again.

I had to roll contact form 7 back to v4.7 to get it working again on my site. I’ve found a great plugin called “WP Rollback” which let you rollback any plugin really easily from the plugin screen.

Thanks for the WP Rollback mention. Installed it. Had to roll back to contact 4.6 to get my forms working again.

yes that rollback plugin saved me a few times from plugin updates that crashed my site. I woke up one day and my whole site was scrunched to the side. Was a problem with a theme update.
