    Hello:

The Multi-step Plugin support has fixed their issues.

Our programming team has reviewed things thoroughly and they do not know why the Form will not Send. When the Send button is clicked, it spins a few times and then does nothing. This is the original issue mentioned in the initial ticket comment:

Why will the Form not Send? None of the other forms on the site will send either.

PS: here is the most recent Console image when the form will not Send.

Hello: At this point, we have had Multi-Step Plugin support, Image Upload Plugin support, and our internal programming team look at this and fix some issues, but the main issue persists. We cannot send the form. Here is the latest Console picture along with clicking the Send Button: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U2jeahf-9BelzmFF68Z5Z_zLsUqLPfMG/view?usp=sharing

This is our main form and it has been down for 10 days troubleshooting this issue. We have exhausted all other avenues at this point and need help. We have a staging site set up. Please let us know what you need to proceed.

    Thank you.

Hello: any update on this…we do not know what else to do and are losing business every day that this form is not working.

    Thread Starter ALittleMoreEveryDay

    (@polishedskills)

PS: we have fully cleared the Siteground caches, the browser caches, the local machine caches — all the caches we are aware of and still not sending the form.

    I share the concern.
In my case, the conflict is with the theme we use (ThePlaceChild). Seems clear to me that the recent update to ContactForm has made it prone to break, in association with various themes or plugins.
The common point seems to be that it hits an unexpected situation (a null pointer) and doesn’t handle it well.

It may or may not be the fault of the “others” (plugins or themes), but there seems to be multiple such 3rd parties, so it’d be a good idea for ContactForm to not be so sensitive and handle it gracefully.

In the meantime, as ContactForm does not show any sign of willingness to address, and since obviously my Theme has higher priority, I think I’ll migrate to another contact form plugin, sorry.

    You input is greatly appreciated.

Hopefully the Contact Form 7 devs are working on things.

The complexity of our form makes moving difficult, and we would very much like to avoid it if possible.

No one has responded to this post in over a week, it keeps being marked resolved and it is not. We put up a new comment and it is marked duplicate.

Our business is literally dying because our main form is not working. We have done all we can to troubleshoot the issue, as documented/stated above. The form was working great until the last update, with 500+ submissions, now it is useless because it will not send. We need help. We have been very patient as we know you are very busy. But our business is literally dying. Please help.

    Hi,
maybe my post will help you deal with a critical situation.

I use the WP Rollback plugin at similar times – it allows you to easily roll back any plugin update. Then I disable (maybe temporarily) auto-update of problematic plugins. This allows me to get back to working on the production page (forms here).
In this way, I can calmly look for solutions to problems when updating website elements to higher versions in the test environment.

P.S. @takayukister thank you for a lot of good work (not the same as perfect ??) and willingness to share it as a free solution.

We appreciate the thought, but there is a lot of custom work on this particular form. Our programming team had to make custom fixes that cannot be rolled back. Roll back also opens the site up to security vulnerabilities.

We have spent way too much time and money in the past two weeks troubleshooting this issue and fixing all the other issues to get to this point.

The only issue remaining is the form will not send. It sent without issue before the most recent update. Updates are vital to keeping a site secure and up-to-date. When we activate the 2023 Theme and test, the button still does not work.

Looking through this forum, we are not the only ones experiencing this fail to send issue after the last update.

This form took hundreds of hours to build and we cannot just move to something new.

    (@polishedskills)

PS: another odd thing is, every now and then when testing, the form will send. We get all excited, then do another test right after, and it won’t send, dashing hope. This issue happens in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. We have had multiple people test in other parts of the world in all three browsers, and the form will not send in any browser for any of them either.

As stated in our previous comment that is being held in auto moderation for some reason, roll back is not an option for us.

    Had the same issue.
    Solved by rollback to 5.6
    Thank you!!
