  • Same problem, but only on the contact forms that had a checkbox. Reverted to a 3 day old backup and everything works fine for now.

I won’t be editing any PHP! That’s the authors job; to provide a functioning plugin.

Broken on my site since WP update this week.

“Validation errors occurred. Please confirm the fields and submit it again.”

Clearly this plugin is broken for the current version of WP.

So the question is, does the author plan to fix it?

    Having the same issue.

    Same issue here.

Please release an update for contact form 7

Sure, but I think this plugIn must work with a new version too

    Hello!

We have the same issue on several sites which use different themes. Absolutely sure that it happened right after WordPress update to the latest version.
Please, help ASAP! Our clients are getting angry… ??

Going to add my voice here in hope that the plugin developer will address this issue. The incompatibility broke all of the sites I work on too, but uploading the /includes/class-phpmailer.php file from 4.4.0 fixed it.

One of the most common ways hackers get access to WP sites is through outdated plugins.

    Hi all,

Just going to jump in real quick, I’ve tested the latest release of CF7 with WordPress 4.4.1, and there are no incompatibility.

What I do know, is that we’ve been having some issues with some new rules released for mod_security alongside the latest release of WordPress (mod_security is not maintained or influenced by WordPress), so you might want to check with your hosting provider if they run mod_security,. and ask them to look into what rules they run and ask them to look for any log notices on that which might have been triggered.

Also, do try to disable any other plugins running to make sure it’s not a plugin conflict ??

The issue definitely lies with the 4.4.1 update.

My forms were working fine on Tuesday this week with 4.40 and since the 4.4.1 upgrade on Thursday (I did no other theme or plugin updates) all my forms have stopped working.

I get the red “failed to send your message” notification on all of them.

Please can we have a real fix urgently – my client has a major campaign running with online booking through a CF7 form!

    Please update plugin
    It does not work properly
    Thanks

    Hello,
I have the same issue. The mail sent to the site administrator is not received, but the confirmation mail to the sender is received. But strangely, when the form is filled and sent there is no failed message.
    Thanx for your consideration.

@marius (Clorith) – thanks for removing the large code block. It was IMHO causing people to just jump on that rather than look for the cause of their particular problem.

Might also help if you could give links to forum posts covering the issues you’ve seen with the new rules released for mod_security alongside the latest release of WordPress.

Same issue with the same error reported in previous posts.

“Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact us by another method.”

However, I cannot test the archived version of class-phpmailer.php since for one client I went GoDaddy Managed WordPress which restricts access to this file. Lesson learned.

Any word from the developer of this plugin? Bleeding leads here. Is there a fix in the works or do we need another contact form solution?
