    While I have followed instructions to the letter, I cannot get my forms to send email notifications.

    I am using the Google API and all said it was configured properly (SMTP) by following this doc: https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-fix-wordpress-contact-form-not-sending-email-with-smtp

    I ran the test by following this guide: https://wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-send-a-test-email-in-wp-mail-smtp/ and everything seems to work fine. I do receive the email.

    This is frustrating I previously had one form that was working fine without all this extra SMTP business. When I went to duplicate/add a new one, I discovered that the first form was no longer working–which is not a good thing for business when things we use to gather info are silently breaking. Something must have changed.

    Can anyone help me? I am on a free account but free is what I use to evaluate value of a purchase. Not a great first experience that would entice me to upgrade at the moment!

    I’ve confirmed this IS working fine on a second site that I have WP Forms installed at — without SMTP — the messages are just very delayed.

    To take a closer look into the issue, when you have some time, can you please share some screenshots of your form notification settings along with WP Mail SMTP settings?

    I shut it off. And then, oddly enough, at 8 pm (MANY hours later) all the emails popped into my inbox.
