Form stuck on send

  • My email form is stuck, if you flag the box and hit Send, it is stuck with the circle arrows rotating.
    Any suggestions? The plugin is updated to the latest version.
    I tried uninstalling some plugins, to no avail. Unfortunately I cannot remove the theme, because it is custom made for my website.
    It started in the last few days, so some update might have triggered it?

    3 Twenty-Twenty One by WordPress.

    Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Akismet Anti-Spam, Classic Editor, Health Check & Troubleshooting, and Yoast SEO.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.
