• I ran into a bit of a snag, I use the WP nickname instead of username on the member profiles. I edited the Registration form to include the WP nickname as ‘Display Name’ and that went very well, however I could not find a way to do this for the account page.

Because the users/members can’t go into the back-end, they only have the account page to edit their user settings and nickname is not available on that form.

If there is no other solution for the users to edit their WP user settings, could you please make a form type for ‘Account’ (so admins can customize what settings the users can change) or add ‘Display Name’ field to your account page.

    Hi,

At the moment users will only be able to change their nickname by editing their profile and not the account page. Will discuss with team the possibility of making nickname field changeable from account page.

    Thanks

    Thank you for your response.

I was suggesting making an ‘Account’ editable form like you have for the Register, Login, and Profile form (not sure from your response if that is what you perceived).

Again this would make it so I don’t have to have any users in the back-end/administration areas of my site (and remove the admin bar for non-admins altogether). Also this would exponentially increase the possibilities and options for the administrator to customize their site to their needs with the bonus of added security (no needed access to admin pages).

The account page is different to the other forms as the account page includes several forms and lots of conditional logic work based on UM settings so it behaves quite differently to the other blank forms.
