form without Google Maps

It is a useful function, but on one site I need to turn off the Google Maps function for finding locations. The problem is that there′s no option setting for this. Turning emefs_gmap_enabled = 1 to 0 in emefs.php or renaming emefs-locations-search.php has no effect – and this would be overwritten by a plugin update. What do you recommend? Thanks in advance.
