Formatted page is not displaying the way it looks in the editor

Any help you can provide to a novice “Blocks” user would be helpful.

 

I am WP 6.6.1 and the Academica Theme Version 2.0.8

When I create a block using “Grid,” it looks fine on the edit page, but after I save it, it switches from a horizontal 4 X 2 Grid, to a 1 X 4 display.

I originally created the page using the Classic editor, but switched it to Blocks. I′ve left the classic block above where I have currently added the Grid block.

Other things I′ve tried:

• Grouping and ungrouping the grid.
• Using columns (but I can′t create 4 columns)
• Transforming from Grid to Row

• I′ve also saved, closed and reopened the browser multiple times
• Clearing Cache for the page as well as the site

And probably a dozen other things, none of which has had an effect.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
