Formatting buttons in edit post screen not working

    Since I upgraded to WordPress 4.0, some buttons in my ‘new post / edit post’ now don’t work with the Minamaze Pro theme activated. I can’t insert media, and I can’t insert or edit a hyperlink.

    Has anyone else had these problems?

    I’m also fairly new to self-hosting and wordpress, so I’m a bit disappointed that I have to manually update this premium theme through FTP.

  • I’m running into the same problem with the Blockade theme from the same company. I’m wondering if it is a conflict with the Page Builder plugin?
    I can open a page in “edit” mode, insert text using Page Builder, and when I hit “Done”, it just gets busy forever. If I close that window, nothing has been saved or changed.
    If I edit in “Text” mode, when I hit “Update” it appears to get busy for a few seconds, then drops me back to Page Builder mode and nothing has been changed.

    I’ve found the problem!
    I just visited ThinkUpThemes support page and they have posted the following…

    “Having jQuery issues with WordPress v4.0? (e.g. shortcodes, page builder, theme options panel not working). Please remove the recommended plugin Comprehensive Google Maps. We recommend you install and use the alternative Google Maps plugin Ready! Google Maps Plugin.”
    “If you continue to experience issues please ensure you have checked for conflicts with any other 3rd party plugins you may have installed.”

    When I disabled that plugin, Page Builder started working immediately.

    Ah. A theme upgrade. That’s what I needed…
