Formatting category description

    Is there any way to do this; get a WYSIWYG editor so one can format category descriptions in the same way as posts and pages?

    No. Catgeory description should go into the template – and you should edit templates with plain text editor(s).

    Inflexible if there are 50 categories with identical layout and the only difference is their description.

    Also, putting content into templates somewhat breaks the OO model.

    How does you providing a link to the category template documentation resolve the problem of this post? i.e. there being no WYSIWYG editor for the category description.

    Well, it doesn’t I guess. But there’s no wysiwyg for the cat descrip you’re looking for, can’t help you with that either. I suppose if you asked nicely, someone might come along and decide to write a plugin for same, but that’s just if someone would know how and feel like doing it….
