Hi, I just installed this plugin today and switched over all my old recipes. I’m having a problem though with two symbols that were working fine before hand.

    I’m getting a ” ? ” inserted anywhere there was ” ℉ ” ” ? ” ” ? ” written in my recipes.

I’m hoping you have an easy fix for this – the thought of reading through all my past recipes to fix them is daunting to me, lol.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello,

Thanks for installing our personalized recipe plugin. I think I know what may be causing the issue.

It sounds like you were using the EasyRecipe plugin before. They have an option in their settings to select “Automagically convert fractions
e.g. Convert 1/2 to ?” You’ll need to deselect this option.

    > convert your recipes back to EasyRecipe
    > activate their plugin again if it’s deactivated
    > open their plugin settings and deselect “Automagically convert fractions
    e.g. Convert 1/2 to ?”
    > go back to our plugin settings and convert your recipes to our format again
    > deactivate the EasyRecipe plugin

This should fix most if not all of the fraction symbols issues.

    Thanks,
    Commodore

P.S. – when you > open their plugin settings and deselect “Automagically convert fractions e.g. Convert 1/2 to ?” please remember to update/save the settings.

First off, thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I was actually using ziplist, and then yummly for my recipe plugins. I was adding the symbols from character viewer on mac. I just went into the recipe plugin and tried adding them again using the character viewer, and while they show on the back end during editing, when I view the recipe in the blog post, they’re back to being ?

Any other ideas on how I may be able to fix this?

    Thanks!

P.S. – any edits you make within the recipe placeholder should be reflected in the actual post. Please remember to always update/save the placeholder changes after an edit.
