Formatting lost after WP 4.3.1 upgrade

  • Text formatting in posts and pages is getting lost. In desperation I am writing in Text mode now with formatting code and yet, if I switch to Visual and try to go back it loses most of my formatting, especially paragraphs.

    I worked for hours and hours yesterday reformatting my posts on two critical (member only) pages, and did it in text mode even, putting <p></p> around each and every paragraph to protect the basic format. And even that was lost if I ever dared switch to Visual mode. VERY frustrating to lose so many hours of duplicated work, and leave the pages virtually unreadable for active members. Not good for business.

    WordPress 4.3.1
    Theme: Divi 2.5.5

    Elegant themes (maker of Divi) said they were aware of the problem in WP and were awaiting a bug fix from WP.

    I read the thread in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/wordpress-dashboard-10?replies=6#post-7621266 and tried the fix there to no avail. Apparently that solution solved the the problem there, but it did not solve it for me.

    Any more ideas? Is a bug fix coming from WP? I noticed this only after the latest upgrade to 4.3.1 so I am guessing it is connected.
