• I recently discovered that certain formatting is lost when I update a page, such as spacing between paragraphs. The only fix I’ve found so far is going into the html view and manually entering the breaks. But, each time I try to update/revise the page, it loses the formatting. Anyone else having this problem?

Single-Spacing between paragraphs, in the Visual Editor, need to be done with Shift-Enter ?? That puts in <br />

Thanks Ipstenu! How do you put in the </p>?

Esmi – I created a page that shows what I’m talking about at https://www.rebuildingtogether-twincities.org/?page_id=1954. I’ve been using WordPress for two years and this is the first time I’ve had this problem. The page will look fine on the site, but when I go in and update anything, it loses the original spacing formatting….

Also, have either of you had luck with bullets in WordPress? I cannot figure out how to get them to format/indent properly. Here’s a link to an example of what I’m talking about https://www.rebuildingtogether-twincities.org/?page_id=321.

Thanks so much for your help!

The Visual Editor handles paragraphs by hitting… y’know, enter. ?? Hit it once, BAM new PG. Hit shift-enter, you get BR. Works for me every day. I suspect you’re overthinking how the GUI/Visual editor works.

Your bullets aren’t using <ul> lists. You’ve just got a call to the bull; HTML code. You want indents, use the ul/li stuff.
