    Hi,

I have just installed Rowling. I’m just starting with WordPress so I’m sorry for the beginners questions. By default, the theme has the “Search form” “Categories” and “Archives” widgets with the theme formatting (underline with accent colors etc.)

Yet when I had a new widget, all formatting disappear, as if the theme was reset. How can I add amend the widgets whilst keeping the theme formatting?

    Thanks

    Hi @rougelapin,

The fallback widgets used in Rowling by default have the old, pre-WordPress 6.0 formatting, which is a bit different than the widget formatting that comes in WordPress by default now. You can still recreate that formatting by adding classes to the widget titles, but it’s unfortunately pretty tricky to do.

You can also install the official Classic Widgets plugin, which restores the old widgets panel and matches the Rowling widget styling.
