Formatting toolbar

  • Hi,

    I had a fried getting me started on WP and I need some help while he is out for a week on his sailing boat…

    While stating a new website with the same template “Trenty Ten” I notices that the formatting options are on the left side of the screen rather like a menu on the top.
    More importantly I am missing half of the “formatting” toolbar. Witch I need in order to change the text format.

    Can someone please tell me how to change the admin interface?

  • Try re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress 3.0.

    Thanks for the quick reply, I updated to 3.01 to no avail.
    There is a option somewhere to move the toolbar around, change colors etc.
    I am hoping that somewhere there might be the option to add more “tools”.

    Looked all over but can’t find it.

    To add the second line of formatting options, try clicking on the Kitchen Sink icon at the far right of the existing formatting toolbar.

    Ah I heard about Kitchen Sink that should do it.
    Problem is there is no “far right” tool bar since it goes vertical on the left hand side I would expect it to find on the bottom. But still I can’t find it. Any suggestion what category it resides under? I am sure I have overlooked it ten times by now..

    Are you sure you’re looking in Post/Add New or similar?

    I double checked and yes I am.
    Guess I have to wait for my friend to arrive from his trip. And have him click on something that had been stating at me all the time..
