• This is a bit odd because the two plugins are not really related but if Formidable Forms is active on a site, any attempt to upload images to WooCommerce via the built-in WooCommerce product importer results in a “cannot use image [filename]” error for every image. If Formidable is deactivated, images import just fine. Have confirmed this with two partner firms we work with who experienced the same issue.

    Hey,

Thank you for reaching out about this. Could you confirm if this happens only when the Formidable Form lite plugin is active?

We only support the free plugin here.

If it happens when the Pro plugin is active, could you create a new ticket using the following form?

Yeah, that’s the one I have. Not really looking for support. Just reporting the bug. We know the workaround, which is to deactivate FF when we upload new products/images.

Thank you for confirming this. I couldn’t replicate this on my test site.

This is why I did on a fresh WP installation.

    1. Download and enabled Formidable Forms Lite v6.6
    2. Download and enable WooCommerce v8.3.1
    3. Run the import product wizard using a test CSV file that has images URLs.

The wizard has no errors and the images were correctly imported into the Woo products.

    Am I missing any steps?

Jonathan – couldn’t tell you to be honest but we don’t have a fresh WP install nor a fresh WC install, not to mention it’s impossible without investing time to know if its a specific setting in FF or WC that causes it. I’d be happy to help diagnose at my hourly rate. TBH, we wouldn’t have discovered the workaround/cause if a colleague hadn’t asked me if we used Formidable Forms and then pointed that out as the culprit – which I didn’t believe at first. We deactivated FF and voila, it works fine. We only do image uploads twice a year so not a big problem for us but as multiple people have been able to replicate it, I thought it would be prudent to let you know since plugins that break other completely unrelated plugins is not a good look.

Thank you for confirming this. We’ll keep testing on our end.

Could you share if you have any other Woo add-ons or third party plugin related to any Woo functionality.?

Thank you for reporting this. We appreciate it.
