We used to have this working, but after updating the site and plugins, Forminator no longer captures the GCLID from a contact form if the user navigates away from the Google Click ID landing page.

I have an old copy of the site in which Forminator was working and collecting the GCLID even if the user navigated away.

I’ve compared both the current and old versions of the site, and I can see the initial landing page, when it’s set to the test form, has the GCLID in the query string in the URL bar and also in the gclid field hidden in Forminator in value=””. When navigating away, I can see the GCLID in local storage on both sites. However, when I enter the test page back into the URL bar, while the GCLID is still in localStorage, it no longer appears in Forminator on our current site in value=”” when I inspect the form. On submission, I can see the new site does not show the GCLID in submissions.

To combat this, is there a way to transfer the GCLID in localstorage to the forminator gclid field? I will share websites privately.
