    Hi there

I created 10 personality types based on a proven paper-based psychological test we have. The goal is to help people identify which personality they are most closely related to out of the ten. The paper-based one has 50 questions but we are running a trial on forminator with 20 questions.

So, we created 20 questions based on the 10 personalities i.e. there are 2 questions linked to each personality. In each of the questions, the response options can be:

    option 1. Yes..that's me
    option 2. Kinda like me
option 3. No way like me!

We also created an 11th personality. Let's call this "Dummy" which is linked to the 3rd response i.e. 3. No way like me!

So each question gives 2 chances of the participant being associated with a personality.

After running the tests, we detected that if the participant picks option 3 ie 'No way like me!' several times, even though they also have a number of options 1 & 2 across the board, the result is almost always "Dummy".

I guess this can be expected if the number of options 3 responses outweigh options 1 & 2. but this is giving a false negative/indicators to the participant.

Am I missing something here or is there a limitation to the way forminator works? I am not expecting multiple personality results as I know this cannot be done.

    So I am seeking help?

Do I need to add all 50 questions to increase the chances of the other options/personalities being picked (altho this will be overwhelming for a friendly social media quiz)?

Should I remove the 11th Dummy personality? If I do, what do I use as a No' option?

Should I just change the response options to

    option 1. Yes..that's me
    option 2. Kinda like me
    option 3. Least like me!

but in this case, "option 3. Least like me!" still links to the personality type measured. And all three options relate to the same personality in the answer section. But then, where is the validity?

HELP...I'm too close and can’t see my way out.

I am open to all ideas

    Thanks in advance

    Hi @coachgee2

    Thank you for the Quiz.

We took a closer look at it and the issue is related to the number of personalities and questions.

On your Quiz, you have 11 personalities but only 20 questions.

Most of the personalities assigned to answers 1 & 2 for every question are different.

So if answer 3 is selected more often than either 1 or 2, the result will be the personality assigned to #3.

    An example.

#1 has random personalities and #3 is fixed, then we select 10 times the #1 and only 5 times #3 but as answer 1 has random personalities it can end on making the answer 3 personality be selected more often.

You will need to review the logic of the Quiz, maybe decrease the number of personalities.

    Best Regards
