I don’t know if I’m just being dense, or if I have to use a separate form for the profile.

Yes you need to make a Profile form with the same meta_keys as you have on your Register Form.

I’ve connected my register form and profile form, but as soon as I put in the details on the profile form and then leave the page, all the information disappears.

Yes, I don’t have a save button, but either I click the tick on the user menu or I click ‘update profile’ and each time it sends me to the page with the message “Your profile is looking a little empty. Why not add some information!” And the page is empty. I really don’t know what to do!
