Any post not directly related to the forum upgrade will be removed, without notice, from this topic.

We have just upgraded the forums here to the latest version of bbPress, which is a huge deal, we’ve been on bbPress 1.x for years!

A lot of time and effort has gone into this change, but we may have missed a few things. If you see any bugs or otherwise broken things, please do let us know below! (if it’s just general feedback, please do save that for later, right now we’re just focussed on making sure that the forums work)

While you’re at it, please consider sharing feedback on the forum redesign mockups.

If it’s mentioned in this post, assume it’s being worked on.

Plugin issues are mostly resolved now. Although contributor/author RSS feeds aren’t done yet.

Once a reported problem has been confirmed, it is added to this master list and the reporters post hidden.
This is done to make it easier to keep track of the reports that come in, so please don’t re-post an issue if you already reported something, thank you for understanding.

Known issues:

Posts are not ordered by their last reply, but rather by the topic creation time. Some of you dislike this, we know, but the query to order by replies will do bad things to the servers, so this is how it currently is until everything is sorted out. Once other issues are addressed, we may look into post orderings again.
View this as a great way for old topics to not outshine new questions by bumping them away ??

* Plugin committer/author support views (and RSS feeds) don’t work (semi-there by appending /active to the plugin support forum URL) (see Meta #2071, Meta #2204)
* oEmbeds are triggering inside code blocks (see Meta #2469)
* Tags can only be added via a reply (or edit), not arbitrarily by anyone, which was handy for modlook (see Meta #1956)
* Moving a topic from one forum to another will result in a 500 error (see Meta #1955)
* A subscription email for the subscribing reply should not be sent to the new subscriber (see Meta #2472)
* HTML characters should not be decoded when wrapped in a code block (see Meta #2471)
* Notification emails are missing the plugin/theme name in the subject. (which used to be included, and was handy for sorting) (see Meta #2016)
* Notification email formats also changed (sender details and how it’s sent)
* The global notifications on www.ads-software.com might be a bit much for the forums, limiting it to @-mentions for usernames might be more ideal (see Meta #2119)

Resolved issues:

* Last Post can appear incorrect if a reply is caught in the spam queue (see Meta #2043) (Fixed)
* Profile posts list isn’t as helpful as it was on 1.x (yet!) (see Meta #2470) (Fixed)
* Quick-actions for resolving/closing threads along with a reply are no longer there (see Meta #2070) (Fixed)
* Links to pre-Sept forum threads from profiles.www.ads-software.com/$user are broken (see Meta #1954) (Fixed)
* Inline login on the top of the pages redirects to login.www.ads-software.com (Fixed)
* Subscribe/unsubscribe and Favorite/Unfavorite from the sidebar/your profile doesn’t work (see Meta #1980) (Fixed)
* Favorites cannot be added or removed. (Fixed)
* Breadcrumbs at the top come and go depending on the view (Fixed! r4063-meta)
* The short 5-minute edit window no longer exists. (Fixed!)
* Users cannot leave ratings (stars) with reviews. (Fixed!)
* Reviews don’t show stars (Fixed!)
* Profiles don’t show recent activity (Fixed!)
* Plugin Authors aren’t labelled as Plugin Authors (Fixed!)
* Plugin and Theme-specific forums are closed. (Fixed! r3925-meta)
* Gravatars overflow on smaller devices (Fixed! r3940-meta)
* User favorites still show the maintenance warning (Fixed, but the URL changed and we’ve not yet redirected)
* Favorites and Subscriptions are still backfilling and may not work right now. (Fixed!)
* Links to support forums from plugin pages broken (Fixed!)
* Cannot subscribe to plugin forums (Fixed!)
* Plugin authors can’t resolve threads (Fixed!)
* Pinned topics are unpinned in plugin forums (Fixed!)
* Plugin authors can’t sticky (Fixed)
* Review links from plugin pages are incorrect and need love #2014 (Fixed)
* Site title and breadcrumbs do not link to the same location (Fixed r4076-meta)
* Filtering by specific star ratings filter on plugins adds horizontal scroll (Fixed in r4088-meta)
* The /active view incorrectly shows a topic creation form which is unavailable (Fixed in r4115-meta)
* Reviews can be “stickied” and will then show up on top of the support forum (Fixed in r4161-meta)
* Plugin widget of resolved topics in the last 2 months reports wrong numbers (Fixed in [dotorg12504])

Although the entire forum move still has a few lingering issues not yet resolved, we feel confident there’s no new unreported issues that are not already covered by existing tickets on our Meta bugtracker, or in this topic, that warrant this thread staying open any longer.

For the past few weeks only duplicate reports and incorrectly posted issues have come in, which makes it a logical choice to close this topic for now, even though it will remain stuck to all forums for reference until the lingering issues are resolved.
