forum login with WP login

I have installed a talki formum plugin.

Is it possible to accomplish the following:

1. When a user logs in to our Word Press website, they will automatically be logged in in the forum under the same username (the forum is under one of the menus)

2. I know that in order to make the forum invisible to not logged in visitors, I’d have to buy the upgrade.

I am doing a community website for our residents and don’t particularly want to have any more costs apart from hosting/domain.
Is there any other forum plugin that could do the above things?
