Forum Template 1 error

Hello,

On selecting the layout “Alternate Forum template 1” it changes the forum layout just fine however the forum categories inherit the Parent name and not the forum category name?

eg. If I had a Forum Named “Supermarket” , sub Forums Categories all named accordingly eg, Fruit, veg, Dairy etc, these all have 4-8 forums relating to the category, however as soon as I change to the layout mentioned above, all of the Fruit, veg, forum categories are all called are called Supermarket. I can’t figure out what is going wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

can you tell me if Supermarket is a forum or category?

Hi Robin I have a problem as the template 1 no longer works remain on the default template.

I didn’t realize i had a reply,

I will try and explain what i am doing.

I have four main Forum Categories – Sea Fishing, Coarse Fishing, Game Fishing, carp fishing. each of these main forum categories have around 8 category’s, each category has a few forums underneath.

layout for sea fishing forums.

Sea Fishing – (parent – main form cat’)

-Rules & Info ( closed forum)

-Help & Advice (forum)

offshore fishing (category)
–watercraft and safety (Forum)
–Species & Habitats (forum)
–Rigs & Knots (forum)

inshore fisning (Cat)
–watercraft and safety (forum)
–species and habitats (forum)
–Rigs and knots (forum)

etc for the remaining cat’ and forums in the sea fishing section.

this layout is basically the same for each main forum, but instead of the cat name displaying, i get the main parent, in this case “sea fishing ” displaying.

can you see what i am doing wrong?
