Forward Slashes showing when user inputs apostrophe’s / quotation marks?

PS: The shortcodes are also displaying all the text, but not any line breaks the user has put into their fields.

I have been through the users account and removed/re-added the offending ” and ‘ marks and re-saved, this has had no impact either.
