Found new template-how do I preserve old content?

  • I have a website that has been up and running for years with a rather boring WordPress template. I’ve found a wonderful new template, but how do I go about preserving my url and website content, while using the new template?

  • The way WordPress is designed, your content (blog posts, static pages, uploaded images, etc.) won’t be changed at all. You may need to reassign widgets and menus, though (under Appearance > Widgets and Appearance > Menus, respectively).
