Fowarding and Masking

  • Im about to buy a second domianname and I want this url have the conntent of domainname1.
    So when you go to domainname2, you get the content of domainname1 BUT in the URL you still see domainname 2 all the way.

    Godaddy has fowarding and masking guides but they say wordpress may not be compatible.

    HELP !

  • WordPress works with one URL. While it’s sort of possible to hack it to work with two, I’ve never seen this work well in real life. Using the forwarding and masking you will forward the second domain to the first, but all of the links on the site will point back to the first domain. Really, that’s what you want it to do because if you have the same content on two different domains you’ll be penalised for duplicate content by Google and you’ll loose at lease one, and possibly both, domains from their search results.
