• For a site I am currently building I had the idea to use a transparent png similar to a picture frame on top of the actual slider. But as I thought of it it would require tweaking with the code as not only the real slide, but the frame would need to be linked to the picture, also the css navigation would need to be above that and there it goes above my nonexistant php skills.
    Slide -> Frame -> Navigation
    Basically like in this picture:

    I have a good 60 prerendered 960×400 px frames here: https://www.myrddin.de/border/Frame-01.png and on if youw ant to play around with it.

    I haven’t seen the feature in any other slider, it might be a nice way to stand out.

    It could also be used as watermark, or protection for the actual pictures (even if only weak).

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

    Hello Michael,

    Thank you for the suggestion. I haven’t tried this yet. I have downloaded your frame 1, will see what I can come up with.

    Best regards,
    Nico

    Downside: You wont be able to click the image if that image has a link.

    Looks real elegant to me, I like it … hmh, you could add the caption on top (we could style it via css) and link that to the current post? That would work for me ??

    I am really happy that you have been looking into it ??

    Or maybe that would work hmh …

    Layers from Bottom to Top

    Slide -> Frame -> invisible linked DIV on top -> Description -> Navigator
