re: Total Upkeep Bkup Plugin plus backup and migrate by BoldGrid

Look at all the reviews by one of the developers: Brad Markle

This gives a false impression of the popularity of the product and questions its reliability if it needs promotion like this.

    Is this an acceptable practice?

BRad Markle has written exactly one review, on another plugin. I don’t see any fraudulent reviews for the noted plugin.

If you wish to take issue with this, contact the moderators via the #forums channel on slack (https://make.www.ads-software.com/slack)

It seems to me that you’ve confused Brad’s replies to reviews (all done at about the same time) with the reviews themselves.

@taizhangdao I have moved your topic to Everything else WordPress and I have renamed your topic from “Fraudulent Plugin Reviews” to “A misunderstanding about reviews” because you are making an accusation based upon your misunderstanding.

Brad Markle has not done anything wrong at all. Load this page into another tab for reference.

Look at the formatting of those reviews.

See the first one? It’s right underneath the word “Topic”. In that image it’s titled “very good backup plugin” and the review was written by “ahmad00syr”. That’s the title of the review and the account of the reviewer.

See the column on right? It says this.

    2 hours, 28 minutes ago
    Brad Markle

Brad Markle did not leave those reviews. The column you are looking at means that 2 hours and 28 minutes ago Brad Markle replied to that review.

That is 100% acceptable practice. I wish all plugin developers read and replied to the reviews for their plugins. ??

I hope that clears it up for you. It may be unclear due to the formatting but there is nothing fraudulent going on there.

Sorry about that. at 82 my eyesight is not as good as it use to be. What I thought was the review’s page was actually the support page. My bad!
