I am new to this forum and to WordPress. I need to get the word out that there is a site called wordpresswebsitebuilder.org that comes up first on an internet search for WordPress websites. I thought they are the real WordPress. I paid for them to do me up a site and they have refused a refund, taken my domain and continue to operated using both www.ads-software.com in their name and they also use the logo. They advertise that the refund will take 30 days, they now say 90 days. They also say that customers will own their domain name, they do not. I am having terrible trouble getting my domain back. I doubt I ever will.

They told me they were www.ads-software.com, just the website builder part of it.

I have reported this to security at WordPress, to Australin Federal Police and IRS but need to get the word out on this forum… any suggestions as the best way to alert consumers of this?

But apparently not the part about contravening WordPress’ trademark, apparently…

Thanks so much to both of you. I must get to work now. I sure learned a lesson the hard way. Oh well…i have been using the internet wince 1997 and this is my first problem! who knows, they may pay me back my refund just to clear their name, if they are indeed trying to start a legal business. So far, I am very very nervous. There is never just one cockroach as they say! If they break a trademark law, I am sure they will be capable of other practices. I have offered them a public apology if they just refund my money! We shall see.

Shaza777 , Pardon me i just don’t understand why you don’t hint my advise? It is not worthwhile to fight over a general domain as you have understood the value of it. Anyway, it’s your choice.

If you are refering to wordpress.com or .org then i will advise you stay out of it as we are not the owner of that domain.

Vis, I am sorry but I do ot quite understand what you are saying…
“If you are referring to wordpress.com or .org then i will advise you stay out of it as we are not the owner of that domain.”

I know what you mean and will of course take your advise…I am just a little overwhelmed right now!

I just put in for aussieappshop.com.au , it is pending now at godaddy! I have put in tax ID numbers etc to get verified!
Thanks so much for this idea and advice…I really like your site too. Did you design it? Did you build it?

This has been on overwhelmingly great board. I have learned so much and all of your support has been so appreciated and useful! thanks to you both again. I feel so protected in this site! Now I have to figure out how to transfer my .com.au site to Bluehost!

50% of my site is done by my hired web designer and another 50% is done by me. The reason for doing so is that i am not an expert when come to web design but for web security and other items are fully accomplish by me.

You do not need to transfer your domain,aussieappshop.com.au to bluehost but what you need to know is your domain dns ip address so that you can add it in your web hoster control panel.

    Hi,

I am just new here and Shaza777, I think what happened to you happened to me too! I have just started a small business and needed a proper website set up. Since WordPress is a pretty popular & trusted site, I searched for it and saw this “wordpresswebsitebuilder.org” who offered a pretty good deal. I was able to talk to one of their support team via skype and discussed the package inclusions. I paid for the service 30/08/13 but didn’t get any feedback after 3 weeks! agreed date of completion was 13/09/13. After 2 weeks I started to get worried and filed a dispute via paypal. Someone responded and I was informed by someone from billing that I have lost my right to take legal action against them and no more money back guarantee! The very reason I filed a dispute is because I didn’t get the service I paid for in 72 hours (as per their package)! We sorted it out and I cancelled the dispute. BIG MISTAKE! because until now, 03/10/13, I still don’t have my website! and cannot get hold of anyone anymore.

Can someone please help me get back my money and report them so they cannot fool more people? PLEASE HELP. I am in tears!

@rmillares – So sorry to hear about your bad experience, but www.ads-software.com only offers free software and free technical support on these forums, but has no control or connection to any site that happens to use the software or offers WordPress hosting or services.

That site is not part of www.ads-software.com and, in fact, is still in violation of www.ads-software.com’s trademark policy.

I’m sorry that there’s really nothing we can do to help you with this.

@wpyogi thank you for your feedback.
I already know I’ve lost my money after 3 weeks of paying it.
I am devastated but what can you do? there are people out there who does things like these… unfortunately there also people like us who do the right thing and yet get fooled.
All I want to do now is just try my best to get my money back (if still possible). If not, then, I guess that’s what you call “goodwill”.
I just hope someone out there reads this and maybe help me out?

    Thanks again.
