Free course registration doesn’t enrol student

After visiting the courses page and clicking “enrol” a student is directed to the Course Checkout page where they can register. However, once registered and taken to the Course Profile page, there is nothing to indicate they’re enrolled (the courses tab simply says “No courses!” as mentioned in a previous support topic). They then have to find their way back to the Courses page and click “enrol” again.

How can this be fixed please? Thank you in advance.
