free gift is not offered

Hi, thanks for plugin which looks to be perfect for me. Maybe I do something wrong, but when I set product (to buy) and set free product (which customer should get for free), nothing happens, customer buys a choosen product, but during the whole shopping process he is not getting any possibility to get free product.

Is there any documentation?
