Free GPL fonts for inclusion in an upcoming free GPL theme?

Hi,

Don’t really know where to post this, but here’s my situation. I’m gearing up to release a free GPL theme for WordPress which includes custom “Custom Header” functionality. I am looking for free GPL fonts that I can release with the theme, but I’m having a hard time locating any decent free GPL fonts.

I was originally going to use the DejuVu library but, after posting to the email list it seems like I cannot include them with the theme release. And, although I can instruct users of the theme to download the fonts and install separately, I would really like to have a few decent looking fonts in the release itself. Just so that users who are afraid of things like unzipping and FTP can benefit from total ease of use. ( yes, these people actually do exist )
