• It’s not very clear about it this plugin is free or not. They aay it’s free but you have only 7 days of full version free. So what’s the truth about it ?

Update: I put 3 stars as the paying version is much more interesting than the free version but it works well and it’s efficient and ergonomic. I may change the note after some tests.

    Hi Li-An

The plugin is available in a free version with limited functionality.

We are currently giving 7 days of premium features on every site you install Instant Butler on so you can try it out with all of the great functionality.

We would really appreciate if you tried the plugin and wrote your review from your experience with the plugin itself ??

    Thanks.

    /Rasmus

Thanks for the quick answer. Is there some information about the differences between the free and the paying version ? I did not find it in my quick searches.

    Hi Li-An!

We are very sorry that we haven’t been too clear. I guess we were too eager to release the plugin :).

Just to clarify for you and other users with this question:

Instant Butler is a free plugin. You can choose to buy the “full version” with extended functionality for 5$ – but this is naturally not a requirement. It really depends on your needs, and many users won’t need to buy the full version.

We have chosen to give all users the opportunity to judge wether they need the functionality from the extended version. The trial is automatically added to your website after install – ready for you to test!

You can get an overview of the functionality in the extended / full version version, on our website: https://wp-instantbutler.com/buy

We are very happy that you pointed this out, and we really appreciate your honesty. Because of this, we have added your question to the FAQ.

Do you think this is sufficient? We are open for yours/others ideas concerning this matter.

    Thanks and all the best!

Ouch, I did see this page. So the difference is on the features showed in the paid versions. For people wondering:
ONLY in paid versions: Search in all post types, enable on website front end, create custom events, change menu keywords, hide specific post types, limited time licence.

Thanks Li-An for taking your time asking/posting here.

    We really appreciate it!

Hope you’ll enjoy it – we’re proud and happy that you guys find it interesting!

The /buy link does not show the differences between the repository version and the premium version. When not “all posts” than what posts: Up to a certain number? Within a certain date range? All posts starting with the letter z? It’s not clear. Nor do the screenshots clarify if they are of this version or the licensed version.

I don’t dispute the value of premium plugins. Nevertheless, I believe most users here are used to a certain amount of disclosure *before* the trial-version. I will uninstall until further clarification.
