Free plugin was fantastic – now it's awful

    This WAS hands down the best plugin on the market if you own a gold or precious metals site.

    We loved it to bits – the constant update feed was a perfect thing to have in a site header.

    Unfortunately the free version is now broken. I say broken because it only updates twice a day (which is pointless) and shows $zero amounts for half the day.

    To get the function the free version DID have up until a few days ago you need to subscribe at a huge monthly fee or $200 a year. If the plugin did more that would almost be worth it on a site that generates good money, but on a free informative site it makes no economic sense.

    Such a shame – this was a brilliant simple plugin.

    The price for the new version is beyond ridiculous.

    Here’s hoping that fee goes to something more realistic and we may continue using the plugin – but failing that the new free version is useless.

    Further to our previous conversation….

    I am happy to report that our FREE version of our Gold Price Live plugin has now been updated to include all the features of our paid version but updates 1 time per hour.

    If you are looking for real time pricing I still suggest you go with our upgraded version on our website.

    really excited by that thanks, wil make a huge difference.

    Unfortunately updated the plugin to 4.0 and now the shortcode just displays as the shortcode, eg [gold] simply displays as “[gold]”, both on pages and in widgets

    The old shortcode is deprecated. Please use [gold_bid] [gold_ask] etc.
