Hi, I have configured free shipping for orders over 70 euro. That is working well, but in a few cases there is the system adds free shipping for products with specific prices. If you add a product of 9,95 euro or 8,95 euro there will be no shipping cost.

I have no idea where it’s coming from. It’s not product related. If you add the same product of 9,95 twice, shipping is calculated (correct, because it’s less than 70 euro).

Other products of 10,95 or 7,95 don’t give any problem and shipping costs are calculated. But any product of 9,95 of 8,95 is giving the customer free shipping when it should not.

    How is this possible?

    Hello tdlanghe

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I understand that your store is encountering unexpected instances of free shipping being applied to certain product prices.

To help you with this, I’d like to take a closer look at your Free Shipping settings. Could you please provide screenshots of your Free Shipping settings page? This will help me verify how the free shipping has been configured on your site.

Additionally, if you could share a link to a product priced at 9,95 euros or 8,95 euros, it would allow me to recreate the issue on my end, aiding in the diagnosis.

Furthermore, a copy of your site’s System Status Report would be very useful in my investigation.
Here’s how you can obtain it:
    1. Go to WooCommerce > Status within your dashboard.
    2. Click on “Get system report” and then select “Copy for support.”

After you’ve copied the report, please paste the text into a new Gist at https://gist.github.com. Once you’ve created the Gist, you can reply here with the Gist link.

I look forward to your response. ??

    Kind regards.

Hey, @tdlanghe! Thanks for the information.

I was able to see the issue on your website, but I was not able to replicate this on my website.

Do you have any shipping class added to those products? Or anything else on their settings that is different from the other ones?

If not, can you please run a conflict test to check if something external is interfering?

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

    — Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

    — Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    — It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

You can find more about this in this guide.

Please let us know about your findings.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi,

I checked the shipping classes and specific shipping options on these product but nothing is set.

I set up a staging environment to test. I changed the theme, but the problem was still there.

I also turned off all plugins except woocommerce and also here, the problem is still exsiting.

Any ideas on what I can do next?

    Kind regards,

    Tine

Hmm, interesting. Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this.

Any ideas on what I can do next?

To clarify, this started happening with updating to 8.6.1. Correct?

What happens, when version 8.5.2 is activated again, on the staging environment? The issue remains, or otherwise?

A plugin like WP Rollback, might come in handy, for switching versions.

We look forward to your response. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Hi,

I did rollback to version 8.5.2 (I had indeed version 8.6.1), but the problem is still there ??

    Hi @tdlanghe,

Since the issue persists even after rolling back to version 8.5.2, it seems like there might be some deeper configuration issue.

Can you provide screenshots showing all your shipping zones and method settings for better assistance? Also, can you create this same product again (don’t clone; create manually) and see whether the issue continues or not?

Additionally, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear
    • Product lookup tables – Regenerate
    • Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate

Let us know how that goes for you. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Hi,

    Sorry for my late answer.

I created a new product: https://dev.cocoozy.be/product/handzeep-confetti-make-bubbles-like-champagne-v2/ – same issue as an original product with this price https://dev.cocoozy.be/product/handzeep-confetti-make-bubbles-like-champagne/

All the things you asked in WooCommerce → Status → Tools is done. Also here, the issue is still there.

    ?? hey @tdlanghe

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this.

I have configured free shipping for orders over 70 euro.

As a next step, in troubleshooting this, let’s try with setting the free shipping to 70 and see if it works. When you do this, do not add 70,00, please add only 70 (without the comma) so we can see if this also interferes.

The reason I’m asking is so we can try to pinpoint what exactly is causing the issue here.

I hope this helps! Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi,

When I enter 70, it automatically changes to 70,00.

    Kind regards,

    Tine

    Hey, @tdlanghe!

When I enter 70, it automatically changes to 70,00.

This is expected behavior. But did you get the chance to test if the issue persisted after trying that?

The reason we’re asking is that we’ve seen a different issue where using the comma caused a conflict, and we want to make sure this is not what is happening in your case.

    Looking forward to your reply.
