Free SHIPPING for net total, after cart discounts

Hi Alan,

Setting shipping cost by cart total isn’t possible by default as the ‘total’ would include shipping cost, which would give a chicken-or-the-egg type of issue.
It is possible with a custom condition to setup ‘Subtotal minus discounts’ using a extension script.

I don’t have one available for this plugin, but I do have a ‘subtotal minus discounts’ condition available for my other plugin; Advanced Shipping

Does Advanced Shipping include the same things as Advanced Free Shipping? I am currently using it to allow for two different Free shipping prices: I offer Free Shipping with a minimum order of $49 for only one type of product (because it’s flat and lightweight). For any other type of product (heavier weight and larger) the total or order minimum is $60. The problem is that the plugin takes the info from advertised sale prices and does not take into consideration cart discounts. Unfortunately, one of my vendors will not allow me to sell at less than a certain price shown on the product page, so I can only offer my discounted price as a cart discount.

So I need:
1- two different free shipping minumums for different products
2- the free shipping to be allowed after any cart discounts

Would I need to use both plugins or does Advanced Shipping do it all?

Hi Liz,

Yes, you can do all the same things and you can use that plugin alone.
Using the additional custom code I can send over for that plugin you can setup the ‘Subtotal minus discounts’ conditions to your requirements.

“when i apply additional cost”, are you sure you’re using this Advanced Free Shipping?plugin? This plugin doesn’t have the ability to add any shipping cost..
