    Hi,

I seem to be having an issue where if a customer places any free shipping item in the cart, where non-free shipping items exist, all items become free.

For example, I might sell a Pallet of Paper weighing in 500kg, with a shipping cost of $500. If the customer then buys a pen for $1.00, the system gives them free shipping. How can I stop this?
In such a scenario, I want to show the more expensive shipping rate ($500), not Free Shipping?
    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Jeroen,
I have followed your link but it doesn’t resolve the issue.

Firstly, I have many shipping classes and many regions, so this method is probably no good.
Moreover, the link you provided does not address or even mention the problem of the Advanced Free Shipping plugin, overriding the shipping conditions.
In most cases I am using either Table Rate Shipping or a Courier Shipping plugin (Easy Ship). Regardless of whatever other shipping method I use, if a product is placed in the cart that qualifies for free shipping, Table Rates or Courier is completely overridden across the contents of the cart.

    Thanks

    Hi,

The documentation describes how you can prevent a lower rate from appearing when a larger product is in the cart. The same can be used for your site. If you have too many shipping classes to do this, a custom condition may be fitting for your requirements.

    Cheers,
    Jeroen
