Free shipping with minimum order amount stopped working

Thanks for the information.

I was able to see the issue on your website on my end too. I added a product that costed 55,000 and it had the free shipping option.

It is possible a plugin is interfering with this.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

— Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

— Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

— It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

I tried every suggestion. With the Health plugin, with a staging site leaving only WooCommerce + default theme or Storefront theme enabled.

And the problem continues. Please tell me what’s next. It urges me to solve this.

I tried reproducing this, with a test site of mine, and free shipping was available — as expected.

Below is the setup I used:

• WooCommerce version 8.5.2
• WordPress version 6.4.2
• PHP version 8.2.x
• The TT3 theme active
• Order minimum of 50 euro, for free shipping in Europe
• Shipping address within Europe, at the Checkout page

I never talked about not having the Free shipping option in my post. I said: “Users started to have Free shipping option available on orders of lower amounts than the minimum.” And I tested as suggested using a staging site with Storefront and 2024 themes with only WooCommerce activated. All updated. Same issue.

I see that you are experiencing a problem where the Free Shipping option is appearing for orders that are below the minimum amount.

I attempted to reproduce the issue on my end using the StoreFront theme and WooCommerce, but I was unable to encounter the same problem.

Here is a screencast of my test site.
Please note that the Free Shipping does not appear when the amount is less than 150.

To further investigate the issue, could you please provide screenshots of the Shipping Settings and the popup where you have configured the “Minimum order amount”?

Looking into these settings might give a clue to the root cause of the problem.

It’s important to clarify that this function was working perfectly, the website has years online. It suddenly stopped working without changing any setting, we only change the amount of the minimum.

To ensure we are troubleshooting the correct Free Shipping method that’s being applied at checkout, could you please rename them to Envío gratuito CABA, Envío gratuito GBA 1, Envío gratuito GBA 2, and Envío gratuito Pais in their respective zones?

This will allow us to track which Free Shipping is being applied at the checkout.

It’s important to clarify that this function was working perfectly, the website has years online. It suddenly stopped working without changing any setting, we only change the amount of the minimum.

From what I gather, the culprit can be found in the phrase above.

Just to be sure, did you already have a chance to test with reverting to the previous minimum amount, and see if the issue persists, or otherwise?

If not, it would mean there is an overlap in the regions where Free Shipping is available, and with the chance in the minimum amount, a conflict/overlap in the settings appears. Therefore, in the options available in the front-end of the site.

For this, I’d recommend checking out the document linked here, if the chance to do so did not appear recently.

I reverted the minimum amount to the previous amount and worked! It doesn’t seem normal that with the same settings it works with 60.000 and doesn’t with 80.000.

So, how can we fix this? Does WC has a limit on the number you enter as minimum?

WooCommerce itself does not have a limit on the number you enter as the minimum. The issue you’re experiencing might be related to the settings of your shipping zones, methods, or possibly a conflict with another plugin.

I recommend checking your shipping settings again to ensure there are no overlaps or conflicts. If the issue persists, it could be helpful to conduct a conflict test. This involves temporarily deactivating all of your plugins except for WooCommerce and switching to a default theme like Storefront. If the issue is resolved, you can reactivate your plugins one by one to identify which one is causing the conflict.

Rest assured, I tried to replicate the issue on my testing site, but everything seems to be working fine. I started from $60 to $100.

Additionally, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

• WooCommerce transients – Clear
• Expired transients – Clear
• Clear template cache – Clear
• Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
• Clear customer sessions -Clear

Next, check again by increasing the limit. Make sure to clear your browser and site’s cache too.

As suggested before I have already deactivated all other plugins and switched to default theme in a staging site, where I’m doing all the tests. So, it can’t be a theme or plugins confilct.

I have made all the clearing you suggested on status > tools. And nothing changed.

Please tell me what kind of settings in my shipping zones, methods can be overlaping or generating conflicts. This is the last option…
