Free shipping working on some coupons but not others

    HI,

    I have created a few coupons that grant free shipping, these were done some time ago and all work fine. However, when I try to create a new free shipping based on a coupon (copying the exact same method) they no longer generate free shipping?

    Any ideas on why this would happen? I’ve enabled debug mode and also cleared cache.

    Hi,

    Are you generating new coupons or creating new shipping rates?
    Is this in the same cart/address that is being used while testing that one coupon is working and the other isn’t?

    I am generating new coupons. It is the same cart that I’m using for the ones that work and the ones that don’t work.

    Hi Craig,

    That is odd; I’ve just tested and created a new free shipping coupon and it does appear to be working for me.

    When checking a coupon, is the ‘Free shipping’ checkbox checked? Does it work when re-saving it?

    What if you manually create a new free shipping coupon (not generated)?

    Hi Jeroen,

    The Free Shipping box is selected and saves fine.

    I’ve generated a new coupon with only the free shipping box ticked. When this is added at the cart it picks up a coupon being added but does not remove the shipping cost.

    These coupons are all manually created and not auto-generated.

    Hi Craig,

    Apologies, my prior advise was based on me thinking this topic was about the Coupon Generator?plugin of mine, not noticing it is about the Advanced Free Shipping..

    The Advanced Free Shipping?plugin does not automatically pickup on free shipping coupons. For this you can either use the ‘Coupon’ condition to match against the new coupon codes, or alternatively create a WC Core free shipping rate that is meant for all/any free shipping coupons (this is usually easiest).
