Free Trial Content restriction

Hey there, I am currently using Ultimate Member on my site with “Woocommerce”, “Woo Subscriptions” and “groups”. I have set up a subscription with a free trial period and so far all is working well. However, I have a special event coming up that I would like to include in the subscription but restrict access to this event during the trial period to stop users getting the trial, watching the event and cancelling without paying. Is there a way to restrict free trial access to groups during the trial only then having full access granted after the trial? I have seen that this can be done with rules in the “Woo Memberships” plugin but is there a way to do this with what I currently have set up?
