I downloaded the free version to see if it will work for me. My purpose is to identify the visitors country they are visiting the site from and Say welcome ..visitor from (code) I had a plug in before that stopped working. Will this plug in do this? I can not find shortcodes to put on the site in order to do this. I own dating sites and it is easy on there

Oh sorry, you want to show the country name right? Im afraid that’s only on the premium version.
On the premium one you can say “Hello user from [geot_country_name] you country code is [geot_country_code]” but that’s not available on the free version

so you can not do anything with the free version then? My present plug in requires an API key that no longer works. I will get this with this plug in?

Just want to make sure this will work before I purchase thanks

No api is needed, you get a license valid for a year to get support and updates. After the year you can renew the license or stay with the plugin fully working but without updates or premium support.

does this plug in actually help in google as far as coming up as a local listing? Or is it just like for dating sites where people see that you are catering to their part of town/country etc

The plugin does not help in google ranking or listing. It just let you target content to different users based on their countries.
So In one post you can have 2 different text , one for USA and then another for french people. All you need to do is wrap that text or content within the shortcodes

Is there any way would you check if the correct content is showing in the correct countries
