• Issues encountered:

    1. No Project Security – The plugin description states that only users assigned to a project can view the project, this is not true as all users (even non-administrators) can access ALL projects.
    2. Does not play well with the User Access Management plugin – Due to the open access described in #1 I tried installing UAM but encountered two further issues:
    i. All projects fail to load for non-admin users.
ii. There is no UAM security setting on Projects unlike other WordPress pages/posts.
    3. Adding Tasks to a Task List – when trying to save a new task, the screen just cycles, you only know the task is saved by reloading the entire page. And only then will you be able to add more tasks.

Overall these issues, particularly the lack of User Access Controls make this plugin unusable for my purposes.

    Hi @ryandegannes,

I am extremely sorry that you are facing this unexpected thing with the plugin.

If you are using the latest version:1.6.12 of the plugin then it seems like you allowed users to manage projects from the settings.

We have two permission settings1.Project manage capability 2.Project create capability. as you can see the screenshot https://prntscr.com/erek97. So, if you allow your user’s user role to manage projects then they will be able to manage all of the projects from their front end WP Project manager dashboard.

I have checked and see everything is working nicely as you can see the video clip here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-w8co8fVTSC3lzf0IdzYjNBvUkuYhpLA/view

Would you please check your site again by changing the permission settings and let me know the update.

    Best regards ??

    Hey thanks for the reply,

I’m using v1.6.12 and the users are added as Co-worker not Manager for their respective projects. In the Settings, Management and Creation of projects are reserved for Administrators, Editors and Authors ONLY.

Additionally, the users are allocated the Editor role in WordPress. Based on these settings I’d expect that users would ONLY have access to projects they have been added to, however this is not so, users have access to ALL projects.

    Hope this is helpful.

    Hi @ryandegannes,

Additionally, the users are allocated the Editor role in WordPress and in the Settings, Management and Creation of projects are reserved for the Editors too and for that, you are facing this issue.

If the editors are assigned their projects then they will get access their own projects so, you can uncheck the editors can manage projects as you can see the screenshot https://prnt.sc/iw1gxx and the problem solved.
