• Used the free version for a number of years, and then it appeared to drop all the meta tags and deactivated itself. At least, it was no longer possible to enter or view previously entered SEO data. It also appeared to lower the visibility of the web site, which says it was working well. I object to representing All in One SEO Pack as free when it appears that it isn’t, and what appears to be the removal of content that I added through its extensions in WordPress (appears likely in June based on stats) through a plugin update.

    Hi maclochlainn,

All in One SEO Pack is free and will continue to be free. The problem you report could be an issue with a plugin conflict or your theme, either way we always provide support in the free www.ads-software.com forums so you can post your issue in there and we’ll help you troubleshoot. There is nothing that has changed in the plugin in the last month or two that would cause the problem you are reporting and you are also the only person who is reporting this issue which tells us it’s something unique to the configuration of your site.

I noticed that you post numerous reply comments and may have an interest in the plugin. I don’t update plugins immediately, so unfortunately, I can’t say which update changed the behavior of the plugin. While I used All in One SEO for years without an issue, all I can report is that features appear to have been removed and the plugin deactivated with a recent update. Reactivating the plugin didn’t fix the problem. Why the alternate titles and summaries got dropped and ceased to display as an element in the form is a mystery. It may very well be limited to my site but I deactivated the plugin and removed its associated files before posting the comment. Thanks.

    Hi maclochlainn,

I am the development manager at Semper Fi Web Design responsible for development of All in One SEO Pack. I can assure you that there has been no updates to All in One SEO in the past 4 years that has removed features or caused the plugin to deactivate itself. The problem you are reporting is the only report we’ve ever received of this issue so it does point to a unique issue with your site and it could well be a conflict with something else on running on your site.

I am sorry you experienced these problems. They are unique to your site and we provide both paid and free support via the forums here and on our website (semperplugins.com). We’d be happy to provide you with support if you require it.
