Freemius API blocked

    We’ve recently received the error: “Oops… Your server is blocking the access to Freemius’ API, which is crucial for WC4BP -> WooCommerce BuddyPress Integration synchronization. Please contact your host to whitelist https://api.freemius.com
    Error received from the server:NULL”

    Nothing has changed on the site nor the server, to our knowledge as this plugin has been working up till a week ago.
    In saying this, after receiving the error, I’ve added the freemius.com domain to our Firewall whitelist however, the error remains.

    Are there any known causes for this error that can be investigated further?
    Has anything changed with the Freemius API that would require a change server configuration to access it?
