    Hi

Freemius was introduced in 1.1.7 and is still in 1.1.8. Please note that tracking is not primary reason why we integrated freemius. Tracking why people deactivate the plugin is helpful to future development, but the main reason was to streamline licensing and updates when upgrading the free version to the premium version. It can all be done in the WP admin!

Thanks for the info. Still feels a bit unsafe this “Fremius” thingy.

perhaps I can get the Freemius owner @svovaf to chime in here about your concerns…

    Hey @massimod,

My name is Vova Feldman and I’m a co-founder at Freemius. Since you’re not the first one asking about Freemius, here’s a there’s from WPChat that will answer your question:

Let me know if you have any further questions.

I’m sorry Vova Feldman but we have no idea what/who your company is. Any kind of tracking is actually prohibited by our company policy, we will have to remove all instances of this plugin.

Pitty this road some WP plugins follow. Tracking here, tracking there. Pitty.
