Hello,

Thank you for this theme, it’s really fantastic even in the free version.

When the 404 page appears on my site, it says (I’m sorry I’m trying to translate into English what’s written there but I don’t speak English very well…):

Oops, this page doesn’t exist!
We’re sorry, but the page you’re looking for no longer exists.
Perhaps you can try a new search.

“Perhaps you can try a new search”, in French it’s translated as : “Peut-être vous pouvez essayer une nouvelle recherche” but there’s a grammatical error in that sentence. We don’t say “Peut-être vous pouvez essayer…”

Can I delete or modify this sentence in the settings ?
I don’t use Elementor, I use the standard Oceanwp parameters.

There are three ways to change strings or translate content:

1. You can use Loco Translate plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/loco-translate/ to translate all strings on your website for all plugins and the theme.

2. Or use these plugins:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/say-what/
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/string-locator/
These are for when you don’t have translation purposes.

3. Also, you can get in touch with your locale translation team on WordPress via this link: https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-themes/oceanwp/.
Or in WP.ORG > Plugin Page > Development Tab > The Translators.

Instead of modifying the string, there is an easier way to do it.

Create a custom 404 error page on WP Dashboard > OceanWP > My Library
Then go to the Appearance Menu > Customizer > General Options > 404 Error Page and set that template here: https://postimg.cc/BLM1DJF5.

Also, you can find a starter template from here:
https://www.ads-software.com/patterns/search/404/
and paste it on the block editor(or create a new one using Elementor).

I chose the solution of creating a page in the library and customizing it and the rendering is great.
