    Hi there,

All of our plugins and add-ons have been translated into many languages.

That said, we primarily rely on contributions from users like yourself to help us keep things current. That means some languages may be partially complete. Translations for The Events Calendar and Event Tickets are managed over at the WordPress translations site.

You can find additional details and instructions in our knowledge base.

If you prefer translating the plugins directly on your site, you can use the Loco Translate plugin, but please keep in mind that this is a fast way to solve it, but you’ll not be collaborating with the official plugin translations.

    Hello,

    Found it

#. Translators: 1: number of RSVPs and/or Tickets with accompanying ticket type
#. text, 2: post type label
#. Translators: 1: number of RSVPs and/or Tickets with accompanying ticket type
#. text, 2: post type label.
    #: src/views/blocks/attendees/view-link.php:73
    #: src/views/tickets/view-link.php:101
msgid "You have %1s for this %2s."
msgstr "Vous avez %1s pour cet %2s.

But it is translated, so I must miss something.

As I dig a little bit deeper I found something weird.
In Loco Translate the French language was marked as 100% translated for the Event Tickets extension.

Then I synchronize the file and it is now marked as 41% translated in Loco Translate. Can you do something about this syncrhonize issue, because on the other hand it was marked as 91% translated when I installed it?

And now it is marked as fuzzy:

#. Translators: 1: number of RSVPs and/or Tickets with accompanying ticket type text, 2: post type label
    #: src/Tribe/Tickets_View.php:1419
    #, fuzzy
#| msgid "You have %1s for this %2s."
msgid "You have %1$s for this %2$s."
msgstr "Vous avez %1s pour cet %2s."

So I tried to deactivate Loco Translate and it worked.

But now the message displayed is different. The %1s contains “and” and it is not a French word. I tried to find it in your PO file where there is not one. I think you do it in you code maybe ?

As of the word “View all” and other words I will translate what’s missing.

    Hi there,

In Loco Translate the French language was marked as 100% translated for the Event Tickets extension.

Then I synchronize the file and it is now marked as 41% translated in Loco Translate.

That’s not exactly an issue, but how the Loco Translate works. As it doesn’t get all the strings from the original language file automatically, you need to click on the Sync button before searching for the strings. That’s explained in the article I’ve shared before:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/translating-the-events-calendar/

Can you do something about this syncrhonize issue, because on the other hand it was marked as 91% translated when I installed it?

That info is not the correct percentage. Note that it was showing a higher percentage only before forcing the translation plugin to re-interpret the language file and show all the strings properly.

About the strings you can’t find, can you show me which pages on your website are showing those strings you’re looking for?

    On this page.

I think I found it, and I am currently translating the extension. Little by little.

I ask some questions here because some words were not clear.

    Hi there,

Note that the strings showing with a yellow background in the official translation website are waiting for approval from someone with access for that. The French community has a website at https://wpfr.net/, so there you should be able to check with them who has the power to approve translations.

That said, to already have translations on your website, it’ll be faster using the Loco Translate plugin meanwhile.

    Hello,

I am sorry I have not answered in a while.

I have asked a bunch of question on https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/event-tickets/stable/ about context of some translations.

2668 are waiting. What are we waiting for it to be approved ?

I usually take some time to translate 50 per day but if no one is accepting our translations what can we do ? Should’nt we improve the translation process ?

    Robin,
