    Within the last few days, automated “frequently asked question” responses have stopped working through this plugin. In contrast, the FAQ responses work fine when messages are sent through Facebook.com.

    This is a huge inconvenience, and has caused a large backlog of messages with our team.

    I’m facing the same issue.

    I installed the Facebook API to my website the day before Facebook launches the integration between Facebook Messenger + Instagram. It was working just fine on the day before, and the next day I notice my app changed from blue to purple gradient indicating the update, and the Automated messages stop working on my website.

    I tried to copy/paste it again because I was wondering maybe Facebook changed something on the API to integrate Instagram, without success…

    The “Frequently Asked Questions” functionality of my business’s Facebook messenger has stopped working (Main inbox > Automated Responses > Frequently Asked Questions).

    For example, I’ve added a “frequently asked question” with the title “Order Status” – when a user opens the plugin chat module on my website (i.e. clicks the small FB messenger button in the bottom right-hand area of the screen), they are able to see a small button with “Order Status”.

    Previously, when a user clicked on this “Order Status” button, they would receive an automated response from my page with the additional text corresponding to this “frequently asked question” that I had added through FB.

    However, this no longer happens – when a user clicks on the “Order Status” button, nothing happens. They don’t receive any automated response, as they previously did.

    Additionally, I can confirm that this unexpected behavior only happens through the chat plugin module. When a user messages my page while on Facebook.com, they are able to click on the “Order Status” button and receive an automated response. This indicates that there is a bug specifically with the plugin.

    I’m not using the plugin, but using the API code on the body. And I have the same error.

    Hi @facebook. I saw this issue was resolved, but I just installed the plugin and seem to be having this same issue.

    Ditto @facebook – I installed last week and have been searching for a cause. Automated responses are not working on the plug-in, only Facebook directly.

    I’m also having this problem. Automated responsed are not working via the installed messanger code from Facebook Business Suite.

    It seems that automated responses still does not work. At least not for me via the code from Facebook Business Suite.
