Fresh Ink Magazine has no homepage and custom page does not work

I have inserted this into the main page through the theme editor and it seems to work. Is there any problems with using this code? Again, all of the other page are working great.

I just checked and it shows the customized page with a good design, so the issue was probably fixed?
