Fresh install of WordFence on a fresh install of WordPress fails

    Hi,

    I just setup a new wordpress 4.9.4 setup.
    Fresh from the installation, I installed WordFence.
    Upon activating it, BAM, it says:
    This site can’t be reached

    The connection was reset

    May i know what am i doing wrong?

    I’m not sure this issue is specifically related to Wordfence.

    Have you checked with your hosting provider?

    This install and test is on a standalone computer.

    Hi @edmonaft,

    Can you confirm that if you manually deactivate Wordfence (by renaming the Wordfence folder located in “wp-content/plugins/wordfence/“) the issue no longer occurs?

    Do you have a firewall installed on that computer? If so, have you tried temporarily disabling it?

    What environment are you running this site on?
