I installed WordPress for the first time on Monday. It went very quickly and seemingly had no issues. I noticed the page looked pretty plain, but I figured it was just a default theme. However, now I’m looking at the source of the page and it’s calling to /wp-content/themes/default/images/kubrickbgwide.jpg for the page background image. I’ve looked in the /wp-content/themes/default folder with my FTP program and there is no /images folder. I would have thought it would have been installed with WordPress. Does anyone know where I can get that folder so I can drop it in there?

  • It should be there. Check the copy on your computer or download it again – the images are there in their own folder. Then upload the missing subfolder with the images.

I’m at work, so I downloaded WP and just transferred the /images folder to the proper spot on my FTP and it works now. I’ll have to check at home (where I originally installed it from) and see what’s weird there.

I only asked here to see if anybody else had the same issue in the past. I thought maybe I had done something wrong and it was a common mistake.
